Tsunami Ready - 3 May 2011: AYANA Resort and Spa has become the first hotel in Bali to be certified as Tsunami Ready, following a comprehensive audit and training program. Its cliff-top location 35 meters above the ocean puts it and its guests at low-risk in case of a tsunami, but the hotel wanted to be prepared to take care of guests in case of any emergency. Resort Updates
Renovation of Rooms, Suites and Villas: Following the renovation of 55 rooms completed this year, 83 additional hotel rooms, suites and villas will be renovated between 08 October and 15 December 2011. The rooms and suites are located in an isolated wing of the hotel building, which will ensure minimal disruption to guests staying during this time.
Renovation of Kids Club and Launch of New Activities Program - 14 April 2011: AYANA Resort and Spa Bali has renovated its Kids Club facilities and launched a new Kids Club program to better cater for families traveling to Bali. The new Kids Club facilities include new flooring to upgrade safety and brighten the room, flat screen TV, X-Box, Wii, trampoline, 'foosball' table football, children's billiards table, additional outdoor furniture and playground equipment, and table tennis. The activities program has been designed to stimulate and entertain children of various ages. New activities include 'Paint-a-Pot' ceramics; an outdoor petting zoo including lambs, pigs, rabbits and ducks; Balinese dress-ups and traditional games. In addition, children receive a welcome gift upon check-in, while the resort's babysitters have completed intensive training including First Aid to upgrade their skills.
