Gondwana’s gone crazy this last year, so let’s cool things down, way down in Tasmania. Goodbye bushfires, hello Bay of Fires. The colours along this coastline will astound you. Finally, tick off Aurora Australis from your bucket list and see the Southern Lights. They can occur at any time of the year out from Cradle Mountain. Get a little weird at MONA and become immersed in art, the famous gallery is always offering something new.

You may have just missed Adelaide’s iconic festival season but fear not, with daylight savings coming to an end around this time, we’re keeping 2021 simple Australia! With so many wineries to explore, you may want to ditch your watch anyway. Wander through rock formations eight times the size of Uluru at Wilpena Pound, jump over to Kangaroo Island and celebrate new life in this beautiful destination post-bushfires, or go underground to Coober Pedy and take home an iconic opal keepsake.

Break out the ANZAC biccies, 2021 is looking better and better! Score nine days off from April 24 to May 2.

PUT ON. A light jacket and sandals, (or jandals).
HEAD TO. New South Wales

If we’re not visiting our neighbours across the ditch, we sure can get mighty close with a trip to NSW. Relax in Byron, take a dip at Bondi, or go full Sydney along Darling Harbour. Last occurring after rain in May last year, this could be your best bet to witness the magical bioluminescence at Jervis Bay. Wander gorgeous botanic gardens in the Blue Mountains to see autumn leaves at their finest or get even closer to our Kiwi friends across the Tasman to Lorde Howe and Norfolk Island.

Make like a Hemsworth and get a selfie with the cutest creature in the world! Found only on Rottnest Island, WA, quokkas will make Christmas a whole lot happier.
