Day 1: Arrive Perth
Upon arrival, make your own way to the hotel in the city, a breezy 30 minutes from the airport. Perth is celebrated for its beautiful weather, unspoilt coastlines and relaxed outdoor lifestyle. Famous restaurants and award-winning wine regions are right at your fingertips.

Day 2: Busselton, Mammoth Cave, Augusta, Margaret River (B, L, D)
Travel south from Perth to Busselton Jetty, the longest timber jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Visit one of Margaret River’s oldest breweries for a gourmet lunch platter of local produce with beer and cider tastings. After lunch, experience wine tasting at an award-winning winery. Discover vast chambers and fascinating flora and fauna at Mammoth Cave. Continuing through the Boranup Forest and its enormous Karri Trees to Augusta, we reach Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse for stunning views of the Southern and Indian Ocean divide. Enjoy brief time to explore the quaint shops and chic cafes of the Margaret River township before heading to your overnight accommodation in the Margaret River or Busselton region.

Day 3: Margaret River Food & Wine Tour (B, L)
After a leisurely breakfast, indulge in a full day Margaret River food and wine lovers tour celebrating the region’s best food and wine artisans. Discover firsthand why Margaret River is regarded as one of Australia’s greatest wine producing regions with a gourmet lunch and wine tastings at boutique wineries amid beautiful vineyard surrounds. Appreciate behind-the-scenes craftsmanship with chocolate and coffee sampling before returning to Perth this evening.

Day 4: Free Day, Swan River Dinner Cruise (B, D)
The day is free for you to explore Perth at your own pace. Soak up the amazing outdoors or enjoy a few cold drinks at the thriving metropolis of laneway bars, or wander the nearby city of Fremantle’s winding portside streets. As the city lights up in the evening, make your own way to Barrack Street Jetty, only a short stroll from the Perth CBD, and glide along the scenic Swan River on a delicious hot buffet dinner cruise with dessert and complimentary standard beer, wine and soft drink.

Day 5: Board the Indian Pacific in Perth, Golden Outback (B, L, D)
Make your own way to East Perth Terminal for a mid-morning departure aboard the iconic Indian Pacific. Your fabled journey from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean begins as you settle into your comfortable cabin and get to know the creature comforts of life onboard. Enjoy a modern Australian lunch as you glide through the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley. After a relaxing afternoon onboard, enjoy a three-course dinner prior to your late evening arrival in the wild west township of Kalgoorlie.

Day 6: Indian Pacific, Nullarbor Plain (B, L, D)
Awake to the spectacular expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to watch the sunrise. Be captivated by the big blue skies and ancient stillness of the desert landscape, broken only by a mob of friendly kangaroos. Waiting ahead is the charm of the once-thriving Nullarbor railway community – now ghost town – of Cook. Sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world. Another mouth-watering dinner is followed by relaxed conversation in the lounge before a restful night’s sleep.

Day 7: Indian Pacific, Adelaide & Broken Hill (B, L, D)
As the landscape changes again and rich ochre sands make way for forests and farmlands, you will arrive into charming Adelaide. You have the choice of a walking tour (seasonal), a behind-the-scenes tour of the world-famous Adelaide Oval, or a coach tour of the city sights. This evening, you’ll enjoy a stop at Broken Hill, Australia’s silver capital and frontier outback town home to a unique artistic community.

Day 8: Indian Pacific, Blue Mountains & Sydney (B)
Take in the full spectacle of the Three Sisters and Jamison Valley with a morning excursion to the Blue Mountains before arriving on a chartered service to Sydney at approximately 3:15pm (time is subject to change). Alternatively, stay onboard the Indian Pacific arriving directly into Sydney at approximately 12:45pm (time is subject to change). Make your own way to the airport if you are flying out this evening.
