Day 1: Arrive Perth
Upon arrival, make your own way to the hotel in the city, a breezy 30 minutes from the airport. Perth is celebrated for its beautiful weather, unspoilt coastlines and relaxed outdoor lifestyle. Famous restaurants and award-winning wine regions are right at your fingertips.
Day 2: Perth Free Day (B)
The day is free for you to explore Perth at your own pace. Soak up the amazing outdoors or enjoy a few cold drinks at the thriving metropolis of laneway bars, or wander the nearby city of Fremantle’s winding portside streets.
Optional Rottnest Island Ferry and Tour ex Fremantle – from $120 per person – must be pre-booked
Make your own way to B Shed Fremantle for your ferry transfer to Rottnest Island. Explore the beauty of Rottnest Island in air-conditioned comfort on a 1 hour and 45 minute coach tour with live commentary. Take in the amazing flora and fauna of the island, striking beaches, woodlands and incredible salt lake. This tour includes all of Rottnest’s must-see locations including the Wadjemup Lighthouse, Henrietta Rocks, the majestic look-out point at Cathedral Rocks and Cape Vlamingh. There will be plenty of opportunities to capture your very own Quokka selfie whilst also learning about the colonial and maritime history of this magnificent island from your expert Coach Captains. Take a ferry returning to Fremantle late this afternoon.
Day 3: Margaret River Scenery and Wildlife (B, L)
Embark on a scenic drive down south to the charming seaside town of Mandurah where we’ll take a coffee break at a café by the foreshore, before arriving at Bunbury for a quick stop at the Featured Wood Gallery & Museum. Lunch is at bustling Busselton where you’ll enjoy a leisurely walk along the famous Busselton Jetty. Stretch your legs at the marvellous Margaret River township with free time for a stroll along the main street. As the day winds down, spot Western Grey Kangaroos and friendly horses at the McLeod Family Farm. While heading back to your accommodation, catch views of surf breaks on along the coast. In spring during the wildflower season, you may even see a spectacular display of native wildflowers.
Day 4: Margaret River Food, Wine and Culture (B, L)
Today is packed with food, wine and cultural highlights. After breakfast at a popular local café we set out on a day indulging in wine, coffee, cheese, olive oil and chocolates at the region’s finest producers of coffee, wine and gourmet food, including a stop at the Margaret River Chocolate Company. Unwind and enjoy a delicious lunch at “Olio Bello” a local olive oil farm accompanied with lunch enjoy a glass of local beer or wine. They also have an incredible range of condiments & balsamics.
Day 5: Margaret River Forest, Cave and Lighthouse (B, L)
Discover tales of shipwrecks at Redgate Beach before heading underground at monumental Mammoth Cave, a labyrinth of intricate limestone formations. A scenic drive through the majestic Boranup Forest then we head seaward to take in some more stunning coastal scenery. Pass through the hilltop coastal town of Augusta with views of the Blackwood River on the way to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse for a guided tour of mainland Australia’s tallest lighthouse. The lighthouse marks the point where two oceans meet; the Southern Ocean and Indian Ocean. Stop for lunch in Augusta before returning to Perth in the evening.
Day 6: Swan Valley Wine Cruise (B, L)
Make your own way to Pier 3 Barrack St Jetty to board your cruise upstream the Swan River. Take in the stunning views as you enjoy morning tea with freshly brewed Yahava coffee and baked muffins. Experience your first taste of premium Western Australian wine and cheese onboard. Arrive at the prestigious Sandalford Estate for a special behind the scenes wine-making tour and walk around the grounds, followed by an indulgent two-course gourmet lunch and tasting of six premium wines – with a glass of your favourite for lunch. Proceed through to the cellar door and gift shop before heading back onboard for dessert, all-inclusive wine and live entertainment on your return to the Jetty this evening.
Day 7: Board the Indian Pacific in Perth, Kalgoorlie (B, L, D)
Make your own way to East Perth Terminal for a mid-morning departure aboard the iconic Indian Pacific. Your fabled journey from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean begins as you settle into your comfortable cabin and get to know the creature comforts of life onboard. Enjoy a modern Australian lunch as you glide through the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley. After a relaxing afternoon onboard, enjoy a three-course dinner prior to your late evening arrival in the wild west township of Kalgoorlie.
Day 8: Indian Pacific, Nullarbor Plain (B, L, D)
Awake to the spectacular expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to watch the sunrise. Be captivated by the big blue skies and ancient stillness of the desert landscape, broken only by a mob of friendly kangaroos. Waiting ahead is the charm of the once-thriving Nullarbor railway community – now ghost town – of Cook. Sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world. Another mouth-watering dinner is followed by relaxed conversation in the lounge before a restful night’s sleep.
Day 9: Indian Pacific, Adelaide (B, L, D)
As the landscape changes again and rich ochre sands make way for forests and farmlands, you will arrive into charming Adelaide. You have the choice of a walking tour (seasonal), a behind-the-scenes tour of the world-famous Adelaide Oval, or a coach tour of the city sights.
Day 10: Indian Pacific, Blue Mountains and Sydney (B, L)
Wake in the picturesque Blue Mountains. See the majestic Three Sisters at Echo Point and the views at Jamison Valley before completing your journey on a chartered NSW rail service into Sydney Central Station. Alternatively, stay onboard the Indian Pacific arriving directly into Sydney. Make your own way to the airport if you are flying out today.

During the day, relax on the three-seater lounge that converts to upper and lower sleeping berths at night. Enjoy the high-quality linen, pillows, doonas and complimentary Australian-made toiletries. Flights, airport transfers, rail terminal transfers, ferry & cruise terminal transfers, meals not stated, travel insurance and anything not explicitly listed under inclusions are at your own expense.
A low initial deposit of $199 per person is required to secure your booking. The low deposit is for a limited time only.
A second deposit (partial payment) is due 8 months before departure – the amount to be advised by the consultant at the time of booking.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The final balance will be due 3 months before departure.
Advertised price is based on availability of the Gold Service Twin Cabin. Surcharges may apply for fare & cabin upgrades and peak travel periods. Prices are correct at time of publication and are subject to availability, change, cancellation or withdrawal without notice. All prices are in Australian dollars per person twin share unless stated otherwise.
A single supplement from $350 per person is payable in addition to the twin share price for solo occupancy, and is valid for a Gold Service Single Cabin (not Gold Service Twin Cabin), subject to availability.
Triple share is not available.
Extend Your Stay
Perth pre-tour accommodation with breakfast: From $250 per room per night, on request and subject to availability.
Children under 4 years of age are not permitted. Children 4 years and above pay the adult price. The cruise and tours involve adult activities and wine tasting experiences not recommended for young children.
Due to high demand and limited availability of these special rates, bookings are not confirmed until confirmation is sent; usually within 48 hours.

If you are unable to travel due to government restrictions or supplier cancellations, we will waive our administration fee and assist with a date change or credit less any unrecoverable third-party costs. Credits are subject to supplier conditions and fare differences may apply upon rebooking.
Each amendment incurs a $55 per person administration fee.

It is the customer’s responsibility to check the country of departure and country of arrival’s COVID-19 restrictions. Our third party supplier partners (e.g. airlines, cruise lines, accommodation and touring operators etc) may also have additional restrictions. It is the customer’s responsibility to check that all travellers in your party also meet all requirements. The situation is fluid and as such country and state entry requirements, along with third party supplier requirements, are changing frequently. All travellers must comply with their final destination’s immigration and health requirements.
All guests must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to travel onboard the train. Health requirements are the responsibility of all individual travellers. Should any mandatory quarantine or testing be required, this will be at your own expense and for you to arrange. Please be advised that any costs for these requirements will be at your own expense. Our consultants are not qualified to advise you on vaccinations. Please contact your doctor or a specialist vaccination clinic for advice.
A low to moderate level of fitness is required. You will be expected to alight from the coach, train, cruise and ferry on your own accord.
Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 20kg on tour, superseding any other baggage allowance.
Please notify us of any special dietary requirements at the time of booking but note that choices may be limited or not catered for.
Optional tours must be booked and purchased in advance, subject to availability.
Margaret River Tour & Accommodation
The Margaret River tour itinerary and inclusions are indicative and subject to change without notice. The Margaret River accommodation will be at Margarets Beach Resort, Margarets Forest, Margarets In Town or a property of similar standard (based on 2 people sharing a studio apartment, subject to availability).
Every effort will be made to accommodate you in the hotels and properties listed. In the unforeseen event that the listed hotels are not available, properties of similar standard will be provided. All hotel ratings are local or self-ratings provided by the supplier. All rooms will be lead-in category or run of house unless otherwise specified.
The operation of the tours, ferries and cruises are subject to availability and minimum group sizes. If the tours or cruises do not operate, you will be offered a credit.
The operating schedule and itinerary may be impacted without notice by adverse weather, seasonal factors, closures, local conditions, COVID-19 or other factors beyond our control including force majeure. The itinerary and its order, sightseeing and transportation may be adjusted as deemed appropriate by the operator for optimum safety, enjoyment and operation.
Final documentation will be emailed within two weeks of departure of the respective travel component.

Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control. In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, the supplier reserves the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.
