Check-in on your own accord to the acclaimed Hilton Adelaide to begin your cosmopolitan adventure. Known as the city of churches and home to renowned museums, Adelaide is bursting with arts, culture, flavours and entertainment. Get a taste of world-famous wine regions and award-winning restaurants right at your fingertips.

  • Day 2: Adelaide City Highlights Half Day Guided Tour (B)

Your driver guide will introduce you to this delightful city, which is surrounded by parklands with a blend of historic buildings, wide streets, cafés and restaurants. Drive past Adelaide’s cultural precinct – North Terrace, the National Wine Centre, Adelaide Botanic Gardens and the beautiful Botanic Park, home to the Bicentennial Conservatory and the Adelaide Zoo. Continue through historic North Adelaide, where you’ll see tree-lined streets, mansions and historic buildings. Stop and visit the iconic St Peters Cathedral or the newly developed Adelaide Oval then travel through the city’s east on the way to the Haigh’s Chocolates Visitor Centre for a factory tour and tastings of this famous South Australian chocolate. Return to the city via the South Parklands, West Terrace and North Terrace.

  • Day 3: Barossa Valley Food & Wine Full Day Guided Tour (B, L)

Enjoy a change in scenery as you traverse the picturesque vineyards of the Barossa wine region. Your first stop is Pindarie, a multi-tourism award winning cellar door, where you can sample famous blends in the heritage stables while treated to breathtaking vineyard views and morning tea. Then visit Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop to enjoy tastings of her full product range including limited edition seasonal produce. The next stop is Lambert Estate at Angaston where you will enjoy a structured wine tasting and two-course signature lunch with salad and vegetables. Next, travel to Mengler Hill Lookout for sweeping views over the valley and then onto the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company for house made chocolate tasting coupled with Vineyard Road’s handcrafted wines. Transfer back to your hotel at the conclusion of food and wine experience.

  • Day 4: Adelaide Free Day (B)

Today is free at leisure for you to explore the coastal city of Adelaide at your own pace. Be sure to check out beachy Glenelg and the lush and leafy Adelaide Hills.

  • Day 5: Adelaide – Kangaroo Island Guided Tour (B, L)

Enjoy an early morning pick-up from your hotel for a scenic coach transfer to Cape Jervis taking in the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills. On arrival, board the SeaLink ferry for the 45-minute crossing to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Visit Seal Bay Conservation Park for a guided beach walk amongst a colony of rare Australian sea lions. Enjoy a delicious 2-course lunch at an Aussie Pub before visiting the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to feed kangaroos and get up close to koalas. Spend the afternoon in the fire devastated but rapidly regenerating Flinders Chase National Park where you may sight echidnas, wallabies, reptiles and koalas. See the rugged coastline on walks around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, a natural nursery for playful long-nosed fur seals. Transfer to your Kangaroo Island accommodation for an overnight stay.

  • Day 6: Kangaroo Island Guided Tour Continued – Adelaide (B, L)

After breakfast, watch an interactive “In-Flight” Birds of Prey Display at Raptor Domain. Next, travel to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery for a delicious 2-course lunch and guided tour. The next stop is Clifford’s Honey Farm, home of the famous homemade honey ice-cream, where you can witness a working beehive and taste different varieties of pure Kangaroo Island Ligurian honey. In the afternoon, visit Kangaroo Island Spirits, a local company that specialises in handcrafted premium Australian Spirits and is South Australia’s only boutique distillery, renowned for award-winning Gin, Vodka and Liqueurs. Cap off the day with structured wine tasting at the new False Cape Wines cellar door made from recycled wood, jetty timbers and limestone sourced on the property. Your tour ends at the Penneshaw Hotel where you have ample time to have dinner (own expense) before returning to the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal for your ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.

After one final breakfast, bid farewell to multicultural Adelaide with lasting memories and make your own way to the airport.

  • If tours or accommodation are cancelled by the supplier due to COVID-19, a full credit or refund will be offered.

FORCE MAJEURE

  • Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control. In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, the supplier reserves the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.
