About the Resort

Comprising eleven accommodation wings, Mantra Lorne’s centrepiece remains the Heritage Hotel and Conference Centre Building, which was first opened in the 1860s when it was known as Erskine House. One of the most architecturally beautiful and well-known resorts in Victoria, Mantra Lorne design and décor incorporates the rich history and old world charm with stylish, modern comforts to cater perfectly for couples, groups and families alike. A wonderful and warm family environment and perfect for a group getaway, Mantra Lorne’s two Bedroom Dual Key Garden View apartments are both private and very spacious, combining a Resort (Studio) Room and a One Bedroom Apartment via a shared foyer. With views of the lush, landscaped gardens, enjoy all the creature comforts in this home away from home with a fully equipped kitchen, separate lounge and dining area, laundry facilities, private ensuite and even a spa bath!  Reverse cycle air conditioning keeps you comfortably cool in summer and warm in the Victorian winter and all essentials, including Foxtel, DVD player and broadband internet access, keeps everyone connected and entertained. Accommodating up to five adults, bedding options include a King bed that can be split into two singles, a Queen bed, sofa bed and the option of a rollaway.

Mantra Lorne is located in the main street of Lorne, a beautiful seaside town between Aireys Inlet and Wye River, about 2 hours drive from Melbourne, 90 minutes from Melbourne Airport or about an hour from Avalon Airport. Walking distance to restaurants, cafes and shopping, Mantra Lorne is also the gateway to the infamous Great Ocean Road, home of stunning natural wonders and attractions such as Bells Beach, The 12 Apostles and the Great Otway National Park. In winter, nothing beats a beverage in the lounge bar in front of an open fire, summers are home to DJ ‘Summer’ at Garden Bar Sunday sessions and any time is good to enjoy tasty Italian cuisine with friends and family at The Larder. Croquet, tennis, putt putt, bocce, bowls, indoor mineral swimming pool, fully equipped gym and Endota Day Spa are all available to keep guests entertained and well looked after. Walk straight onto Lorne Beach or step out to the main street of Lorne, Mountjoy Parade, for street cafes and boutique shopping.

For more than a century, Lorne has been an incredibly popular seaside location for holiday makers of young and old. The perfect base to explore Victoria’s iconic and incredibly scenic Great Ocean Road, popular natural wonders and attractions include witnessing The 12 Apostles, visiting with world-famous surf break of Bells Beach or hiking through the many trails of the Great Otway National Park. Take the majestic site of Erskine Falls, Phantom Falls and Sheoak Falls, spot Koalas at Kennett River, visit a lighthouse or head to Teddy’s Lookout or the Mount Defiance Lookout for spectacular views of the Victorian coastline.
