Peppers Silo Hotel Launceston

Peppers Silo Hotel Launceston

Sitting on a quiet bend on the River Tamar in Launceston is the Peppers Silo Hotel.  This unique luxury hotel has been converted from 4 concrete grain silos that were originally used in agricultural operations in the area and now form the backbone of a beautifully designed and constructed 9 story hotel. This prime location is just a short walk from Launceston city centre but is peaceful and quiet with no major roads or city noise to contend with.  Your next trip to Launceston wouldn’t be complete without a stay at this famous Tasmanian landmark.

About the Resort

The 4 silos are clearly recognisable as part of this hotel. They have been cleverly incorporated as part of a larger structure, specifically designed and constructed as a luxury hotel. While you’re enjoying your stay here, try some of the local fresh produce used to create the international and modern Australian cuisine at the Grain of the Silos Restaurant. When a light meal is enough, the Grain of the Silos café is the perfect choice, with a casual dining atmosphere serving top-quality delicious coffee and a great menu of meals and snacks. A well-equipped gym and fitness centre with a full range of cardio and weight machines makes it easy to keep your fitness routine intact while away from home. The Silo Day Spa is an idyllic retreat where you can indulge in a luxurious massage or a magical health treatment.

Things To Do

Welcome to Tasmania, a food and wine paradise for lovers of fresh and innovative dishes and delicious cooler climate wines. The Tamar Valley to the north of Launceston, is a great place to start when it comes to experimenting with the locally grown wines at a variety of Cellar Doors.  To the south, do drop by Josef Chromy Vineyard in Relbia, where the character of his wine is as unique as the legendary man himself. The local hand-crafted beers and locally distilled gin and whisky are also worthy of a try – many of them award-winning on the global arena. In Launceston the must-do’s include a visit to Cataract Gorge, a stroll along the River Tamar Seaport Precinct, take a scenic river cruise to explore further upstream, spend a few hours at Penny Royal historic attraction, amble through stunning City Park and immerse yourself in the arts, history & theatre scene. Let the good times roll at Country Club Tasmania casino, or play a round on the 18-hole championship golf course.
